Each member brings something important to the committee:  an understanding of the sciences involved, concern for health issues, and interest in an open and transparent process. 

Various committee members had undertaken to contact other communities and resources.

Committee Meetings

Mr. Vlahakis believes there is no reason why we cannot reach a pesticide/herbicide-free environment although he does recommend some fertilizer for young plants

A motion was made and seconded to approve the RFP package as agreed.  The vote in favor was unanimous.

The Chairman reported that, in various discussions among and between Board members and Committee members, there was a proposal that our TOR be expanded to include the woods

The committee conducted a blind review of the proposal received.  Prior to this meeting, the committee members completed their individual assessments using previously agreed criteria.

Spray nozzle.Text Box: The chairman reported that, following the charge of the committee, she and the Contract Program Manager, contacted the firm submitting the bid in response to our Request for Proposal to identify what the Committee felt was missing from the proposal.

A Committee Member proposed a simplification of the draft RFP and distributed revised Exhibits One and Two.  This might help to put the project in perspective, especially since the BOD has budgeted only $10K for this component.
